With this Hepa filter, your Meaco dehumidifier becomes in addition to the air purifier. Without additional power consumption, your dehumidifier with the used Hepa filter effectively reduces mould spores, dust mites, etc. in the room air. People suffering from allergies in particular benefit from this additional benefit – but the service life of the dehumidifier is also extended by a Hepa filter. The air purification effect in the filter is generally achieved in four different ways: Sieving effect: particles get caught between the filter fibres due to their size (not relevant for Hepa filters due to the small particles). Inertia effect: Larger particles do not follow the air flow (around the filter fiber), but bounce against it due to their inertia and stick. Interception: Smaller particles following the airflow around the fiber will stick if they come too close to the filter fiber. Diffusion effect: Very small particles (u003c 1 µm) do not follow the air flow but have a trajectory similar to the Brownian movement due to their collisions with the air molecules and thus collide with the filter fibers, while they remain adherent.
